Reiki & Energy  Balancing

Reiki is an ancient and gentle Japanese therapy for stress reduction, relaxation and overall healing physically and emotionally.

Pronounced as Raý Key, the term is composed of two Japanese words – Rei which means “Higher Power” and Ki  which is “Life Force Energy.” Through hands-on touch, vital energy can be channeled to support the body's natural ability to heal itself.

This benign healing technique is becoming more and more popular as it produces renewal and the release of negative emotions. It has also been used in hospitals around the world to promote a feeling of well being while self healing is taking place.

I am committed to creating a safe space and  help you enhance personal awareness, inspiration, intuition, and release blocked or supposed feelings. This will also lead to self-healing and will promote wellness,

Please understand that Reiki isn’t a substitute for medicine and cannot treat symptoms or a condition which should be seen by a licensed or medical professional.

Q&A

DO I NEED TO BE RELIGIOUS TO EXPERIENCE REIKI?
While the practice was created from a spiritual base and is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. Reiki is a universal practice that is available to everyone.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A TYPICAL SESSION?

Each session will be a unique experience depending on the person and what you are looking to heal or work on.

  • Maybe you are looking to bring more balance into your life and you need assistance in gaining clarity on next steps

  • You’re experiencing insomnia or suffering from headaches and looking to explore the root and regain serenity

  • You are navigating through a difficult relationship with a loved one

Reiki can help bring compassion to the situation so you can bring healing into the relationship.

In a standard session, you may either lie on a massage table or  sit on a chair, if this is a preference. You will remain fully clothed. With permission, I will place my hands either on or near your body in a series of hand positions. These will include placing my hands on your head, shoulders or legs and feet. You may feel warmness or a vibration as I move over you – this is the universal life energy (chi) being channeled through your body. As the energy works through you, you may feel tension releasing from your body -- some may even drift off to sleep. At the end of the session, we will go through any feelings, thoughts or questions you may have.

The whole session usually lasts from 60 to 90 min.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY SESSION?

Again, each session will invoke a different experience as Reiki engages the body’s self-healing mechanisms.

You may leave the session feeling relaxed, or you may feel hungry and have a burst of energy. However, sometimes the body may need to eliminate toxins or integrate well-being on a deeper level. In this instance, the body may go into what is called a healing crisis. In this state, it is possible to feel fatigue or a feeling as if you are coming down with something. Not to worry, these crises are usually short.
